We specialise in delivering high-paced, hands-on, fun and educational Taiko Drumming workshops to small groups or full class sizes in schools across Key Stages 1, 2 and 3. We also lead longer term workshop projects that culminate in after-school or evening performances by pupils.
Email James or call to discuss your school’s specific preferred outcomes so that we can tailor the project to your needs.
”The feedback is phenomenal and many of our Year 12s have already filled in an online evaluation form that I set up for them rating the taiko workshop as the best session that they have had throughout the week of Japanese Language Learning …… James’ energy and manner with our pupils was fantastic from beginning to end so I can definitely see why he is in such great demand as an artist and teacher. We would DEFINITELY love to invite James toworkshops for us next year, so as soon as I know the dates for the language week, I would like to make another booking – well in advance!”

“James Barrow’s Taiko drum workshop was outstanding and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Each child had ample time and opportunity to learn new skills and participate as individuals and as part of an orchestra. I would definitely recommend them.”
